CARAS Grant Project

In 2016, Danielle received a Creative Arts and Research Scholarship (CARAS) Grant from Temple University to facilitate free printmaking workshops in the Greater Philadelphia Area. She sought out to share her printmaking practice with the community, and increase accessibility to the medium. Over the course of six months, Danielle established relationships with community organizations including Artworks (Trenton, NJ), Capital City Farm (Trenton, NJ), Northern Liberties Recreation Center (Philadelphia, PA), Nationalities Service Center (Philadelphia, PA), My Neighborhood Project (Philadelphia, PA), and more. The project served all ages, and included several inter-generational classes.

Border Servant Corps Community Printmaking Exchange

In 2015, Danielle led a printmaking book exchange for members of the Border Servant Corps community, which served as a closure activity at the end of the service year. The project prompted volunteers to think of images that symbolize memorable aspects of their service year, and find ways to express those memories visually through relief printing. Danielle made accordion books for each of the participants, so that each volunteer could print their image in one another’s book. After two days, each volunteer walked away with a book filled with prints made by their colleagues. The workshop took place in Carlsbad, NM.
